Angie Hays

As a native Atlantan, I am incredibly blessed to be living my dream! After completing 6 years in the US Navy, I came back to the metro area after my tour of the world was over… My friends and family are here and, as they say, ‘There’s no place like home!’

This belief is what led me to the world of Real Estate, and I understand that success depends primarily upon doing what I say I will do and doing it better than anyone else. I’ve been in the real estate market for 7 years, and I specialize in a handful of areas in town, but mostly the Cherokee County area. What I’ve learned over the years is the key to helping my clients sell their homes quickly and for the highest amount is knowing the area intimately. You’d be surprised, but one area versus another makes a big difference in home values and even the type of prospects who come and buy. That’s why I have deliberately narrowed my expertise to just a few areas … and, interestingly enough, that’s one of the reasons I’ve been ranked in the top 10% of agents who sell homes the fastest and for closest to the actual listing price.

One of the marks of a great agent is their past success. It’s not enough to just have special awards — and I have many. I earned Rookie of the Year honors from RE Magazine in 2006 among all Metro Atlanta agents. As a member of The Cherokee Board of Realtors, I’ve been awarded the Top Achiever’s Award over the last two consecutive years; I’ve achieved Top Agent Award 6 times in the last 7 years, as well as various other awards such as highest number of transactions closed. I don’t just write contracts. I close them.

The real measure of a great agent could probably be summed up: what percentage of the agent’s listings sell, how fast do they sell, and how close to the actual listing price do they sell. And my numbers share it all: I sell 95% of the homes I list. Over the past 6 months, the homes I sold averaged 26 days on the market, and they sold for an average 96.5% of the initial asking price. That’s impressive in any market, but especially here in Canton. And again, I think it goes back to the fact I specialize in Cherokee County so it gives me a “home turf” advantage, so to speak. I know the market, and I am super-aggressive in making the sale happen.

I believe that if you love what you do and are passionate about all aspects of it, it will never be a job. The benchmark for acceptable performance is to deliver on every promise, exceed every expectation, and receive a heart-felt recommendation from every client, every time.

For fun, I enjoy playing golf in my community, or spending time at Lake Lanier with my family. There is nothing more beautiful than watching a southern sunset over the water. I live in Canton with my Cocker Spaniel, Jack Nicklaus.
