Ms. Cefalu has practiced law for 23 years – with a concentration on elder law over the past three years. She has an extensive and varied background in the legal field – providing her a unique perspective as she works with clients and families. In addition, Ms. Cefalu is an accomplished and prolific speaker who is able to educate and engage her audience at the same time. She has presented at many different conferences and seminars.
Ms. Cefalu was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 1990 and the Georgia State Bar in 2010. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. Ms. Cefalu is a board member for A Child’s Wish (a wish granting organization for terminally ill children) and a volunteer for Life Teen Counts (a suicide prevention program). She also serves on the advisory board for the Center for Medicare Services for a special project they are overseeing regarding psychiatric medications in skilled nursing facilities.
